Research Interests

My research focuses on problems arising in continuum physics and materials engineering, which are tackled employing techniques from the theory of PDEs and from the Calculus of Variations.
Some research topics are:

• phase transition/separation problems,
• modeling of fluid flow in unsaturated porous media,
• hysteresis phenomena,
• multiscale problems,
• regularity theory in the Calculus of Variations.
